That's a The Walker Project board, Dennis is their National Sales Manager and I believe the model is the "Bazooka" in a 5'2" length (Is that correct BK?). Dennis uses the Futures Scimatar fins.
The signature model is a more aggressive rocker and outline than the Bazooka. The Bazooka is really a faster rocker than the Signature model that I am riding above. The Bazooka 5'3" was made for Frank at 340 at the time. It was too big for riders in the 250 range so we standardized the Bazooka as a 5'1" With a good wake the 5'3" is good to 340 or so and the 5'1" is good to 285.
our first day out in 2011 ....... delta, windy, no debris in the water at all, water wasnt too cold ....... being active in the ocean has paid off big time ....... last boat ride was in early november almost 5 months ago it doesnt seem possible ....... im down to 305lbs ........ we took out 500lbs of ballast ( 1500 total ) ........ chris and jordan and frank ........ the kids killed it for the first time out
both tried shuvits, reverses, 720s and some nice stall 360s ...... they looked like they hadnt missed a beat
Nice 3 Jeff! looks like i'm not going to be getting out for awhile. I tore my ACL last weekend on the mountain. Super bummed! did you figure out that postage yet? I'll pm you
@ Tony, shoot I keep forgetting to send you the amount, I'll send that to you in a PM. Thanks for reminding me and for the 3 compliment. I am so inconsistent with them, I like to note when I actually land one. My next one should be in August
@ Mitch aren't you going to be joining us Monday afternoons starting the 25th? I'll get pictures of you, they won't be flattering, but still they'll be pictures
@ Frank thank you sir, we are really enjoying the new boat.
Whats up fellas?!...You guys are lookin good!
Hopefully tomorrow I'll get my first crack at the lake since November.
At 25-30 lbs lighter,it'll be interesting to see what I can throw.
@ tony if I don't land a 3, Judy WILL beat me, but we'll both lose to Scott Culp and his stupid shuv! Who does a shuv in the masters division?!
We were down to only 2 of us in the boat while James was riding so I had to multi-task: driving and, in a fashion, taking pictures Plus, Dennis is back to be a wild man again (still?!)

monday late afternoon as Mitch drove the scenic route ........ mitch repeatedly almost landed 360 shuvits ....... i predicted i would make my first 360 try of 2011 and i nailed it beautifully!!!! ( mitch forgot to film it LOL) anyway it was a fun and cold day!! Last pic of Mitch is landing on the board after his 3shuv
Yes I did and maybe I didn't ....... i did it so smooth and so perfect i came out so far in front of the wake it was just so easy ....... i pumped my fists and wiggled my butt in happiness and relished the moment that i didnt even try to surf it out ....... but it was a no-brainer i think to have made it ....... but i didnt continue in the wake but i would have if i had tried ...... oh well the main thing was it was just so smooth and effortless it was COOL!!! the next 3 tries were futile after but i got it down now .... i think LOL
Nice Frank,I am right on the edge of making it.......so close.
So now if I do one behind your boat, are you still gonna run me over?,,,,,,haha!
We gotta hook up mang.
thats right i won't run you over now ...... that was pretty funny though ....... we went out wednesday afternoon no camera ........ i am ashamed to admit this but we dialed in the perfect wake with no lip at all and can run the boat at 2500rpms instead of 3000rpms ( the gas we will save .... YEA!!!! ) ......... dennis always told me i was using too much weight ......... i never tried surfing the wake because we fooled around on the way home but chris got so excited about how clean the wake finally was he jumped in again with no wetsuit on and he is the happiest little surfer guy around ....... the wake looked like it would push me no problem but i have to wait untill sunday or monday to know for sure ....... it looks like i will now only have to use 500lbs of lead in the boat at all times and this will all be placed under the side seat since we usually just have 2 people in the boat ...... i will then have to fill up 1 - 550 sac or 1 - 680 sac for under the rear locker ....... its sad that i never tried less weight after i got the new prop before couldhave saved alot of gas
Hey Woody, no that's a custom sandwich I had built by Stretch Surfboards down in Santa Cruz. He shapes for DJ James. Which reminds me he has a second finished that I need to go down and get!
Yea its the new quad fin board. I didn't get a good run in and had to switch to a 5.2 like yours. My friend only has the 250# tank on the goofy side of his Avy.
Now theres something you dont see every day, Jeff trunking it, and James in a wetsuit. No surfing today, here is a picture of my drive to work. And for all of you people in California, Texas etc. That white stuff is snow!
you snow guys need to invent a new sport ...... down the mountain in the snow and hit the water with enough momentum to catch the boat wake going by or catch the rope ....... that would be wild with a new cool crossover board for snow and water
Those forks look great. Do you happen to know where the stick-on rubber board padding is from? Im just strating a project like this and cant find a good source for it.
Both waves look good, but which one do you prefer, the elite V or the avalanche? The only reason I ask is because I might be able to get a sweet deal on it 06 eliteV C-4. Everything I've ever read said the avalanche is better.

the elite V has a nice wave, but it will not compare to an Avy wave. The Avy wave is one of the top 4 or 5 of any boat on the market
Best waves (not in any order)
Enzo 230/240
Avy
Bu 247
Tige RZ2
Supreme 226
Sanger 237
Woody, I have an Elite V. I love mine and it does just fine for me. Granted yes the Avy is better/bigger but you still cant go wrong with an Elite V.
Finances played a role when I bought mine, that being said, Im out alot behind others Avy's so I have the best of both worlds. I saved me some coin and still surf my buddies Avy's, Falcon, and Enzo. Once you get into a good circle of friends you'll be rotating boats around having fun. Its good to get bigger bang (wave) for your buck, but dont be so "boat poor" you cant take it out or get some boards now and then (LMAO Hear me talk)
Familiar looking wave there Matt. And I hear ya, my circle let's me ride behind a 2010 24 Enzo, 2011 V226 surf edition Supreme, and my old Avy LOL. I stoked like my Avy wave best, but again it took me 3 years to dial it in and I still tend to want to try and tweak it. Nice pics by the way.
Anthony, what makes you pick the Avy over the Enzo and the V226? I've never been behind any of them and I'm going to be looking for a boat soon.
Waves are like girls, everybody has different taste.
With that said, I really love my Avy wave as well. I dont think there is a better wave for the $ and they are easy to dial in. In any event, you wont go wrong with any of the boats in this thread. So test drive and test drive some more.
can you guys get out of the wind for the most part up there jeff? pics are great!!
we were in the ocean today but tomorrow will be our first extended day out on the boat!! and my first $4+ gas fill up ...... $200+ im sure ....... our 4 first little days were on the old $3 a gallon price ...... it takes $40 in gas santa cruz and back i checked that today ..... going to try and check our gallons per hour tomorrow and see what it comes out to ...... be interesting because ive never checked that out before .
You must be much closer to SC than I am, I was spending $40 round trip in my Aveo last year! Do you go 580 to 680 to 880 and down to 17?
Thanks for the compliment, Frank. Hogan is oriented with all of it's fingers running North and South, so we can get away from the wind when it's from the East or West . Yesterday it was from the North and it just funneled into the areas we ride. There is only one little channel that we call "the narrows", that blocks the wind from the North. So when the wind is from the North EVERYBODY is in there and it's like a washing machine it so rough.
You're going to LOVE filling your boat at the $4+ a gallon price tag, Frank. The way the price is rising, we should see $5+ a gallon here soon enough.

jeff i go vasco rd to 580 to 680 to mission to 880 to 17 to south 1 to 41st to the hook its 99 miles ........ i gotta drive nice to get those numbers .... its pretty good for the old 2000 suburban with 298k on it ....... been making that drive 2-3 times a week ...... it comes out to about 16 mpg ( shudder )
do you know how many hours you get per gallon on an average trip when you guys go out on your new boat?
i know i dropped the ball for you on getting all that 1lb foam but i may have to go back to that place so maybe i can make good finally ....... and i am just about ready to glass my first board i made!!! im thinking of having a guy in santa cruz do it for me though ....... its a 4'10" that im hoping ill be able to ride behind the boat its a secret weapon LOL
