Which boats have the same hull as the current X2?

It is right that the new X-1, the current X-2 the old X-star and the Maristar 205V all have the same hull right? Which years have this hull for the X-star and the Maristar and what are the differences in ballast between the different boats? If you bought one of the first X2 hulls that had a worse ballast option how much would you be looking at to set it up nicely?

The hull came about in '96. The pre '01s had a two tank ballast system(I believe), and anything after had the triple KGB. I don't know if the new one will have a different system or not.

1996 for the direct drive, I don't believe they did it in a v-drive for another year or two. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong

Thats right. the 205, x-star(early), x2, and now X1 all have the same hull since '96

actually, the SAN hull has been around since 1993 - the Sport Nautique of that year, along with the 1995 Super Sport, share the present day SAN hull.

From the first post, it is a ProStar 205V, not a Maristar 205V.
