Prepping boat for waxing question

What steps should I take to prep my boat for waxing? Should I use a good boat wash solution first, water spot remover next, then wax or should I use a water spot remover, boat wash, second round of water spot remover and then wax. Any other suggestions are appreciated. I'll be using Meguiars products for boat wash and wax. Thanks

Wash, spot remover (if needed), cleaner wax, polish, wax.
