Just a few more pics to prove my theory...those guys are hacks! I hate the way the half-ass everything. I mean, they only got 12 speakers in that tower box. Come on guys, get your act together!

You can't tell from the picture but there are 5 amps tucked in nicely under that wrap around seat.

Mikeski, Grant, or Clay I want to put my sub under the driver's helm. I was wondering if you guys do anything with the electronics under the dash for the guages etc due to the vibration from the sub hitting. I realize that you guys are hitting much harder than I so you would see the problems before I would. I have a 15" L7 with 1200 watts going to it in a 1.95 cubic foot sealed box in an 05 Vlx. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have never had any problems with gauges bouncing due to bass. My das is fully digital. Jasons 209 had a W-7 at the drivers feet he had analog gauges But they were broken before we installed the sub. Its hard to say some boats rattle like hell and some are solid. I gues its depends where the Bass is directed and how hard its hitting. Mabey you can re-direct the bass so it isnt pounding your dash to death if your worried about it. Like I said havent run across this problem

Chris, The Malibu medallion servo driven gauges should be OK with the sub nearby. We'll see as soon as Clay has time to finish the system in the Pink Poodle this winter.

Chris, I have a friend with a 12" L7 with approx 500 RMS going to it under the helm on an 05 23 LSV, his dash rattles pretty bad (actually the top of the dash). The sub is firing into to cabin. I would expect a 15 with 1200 watts going to it to rattle. Just keep the screws that start falling out

chris, I have the same setup in my 06 VLX. I had to foam the dash twice to stop it from rattling. Before that I would just put a t-shirt or a cd case wedged in between the drivers window and dash to stop the vibration.

Granted I have only 2-10" W6 with 500RMS to each under the dash and I'm still waiting for a rattle or screws to start falling out.The subs fire towards the bow and the only thing rattling is the bottom of the seat on the fiberglass it sits on and just the one in front of the dash. The woofers literally lift the seat like and inch and a half.My fix is,just put a towel in between the seat and the fiberglass.

Hey Zach, what do you mean by foaming the dash? What kind of foam did you use and how exactly did you do it? Thanks

Zach - I have the same problem in my Malibu. I just put a shirt between the windshield and dash, but I'd like a more permanent solution. Let's hear more about the foam...and pics if you have them.

You guys take a bat wing box and mold to it? Or did you start totally from scratch? If your really ripping on the tower for the wake boards, doesn't it screw that sound up with the speakers firing down or can you shut them off?

Big Ed, and a supra problem . You can buy expanding foam from Home Depot/Lowes...called Great Stuff, but it's messy IMO. I've used Dynomat type material and it's worked ok...but whenever I fixed one rattle 2 weeks later I have another.

The foam is just the household spray in foam. Like the dynomat it works for about a month and then the thing starts to rattle again.

Yea thats my boat back there. Still no sound in it though. I have been working on a few ideas for it, and just havent started on building it yet. So for now, the only install it gets is the left over MDF dust from everyone elses projects!
