So now that its half way through the summer we still have not started the project of redoing the floor in our '86 SKi Supreme. At the end of last summer we realized the floor had basically rotted away, so we tore it apart and are now searching for the right wood for stringers (which is harder than it should be). If anyone has any suggestions to help speed up this whole process it would be appreciated. Thanks.

did the same thing in my old boat and the best thing to do is take a small drill bit and drill the stringer where the engine mount was(in that area)If it is rotten, this would be the spot since it is the easiest for water to sip in through the holes of the bolts for the mount.

I feel ya. We havent had our boat out, but once and after dorpping it in the water for the first time of the summer, back in the beginnign of june, it was leaking lube from the outdrive. Went and had a guy pressure check it, and it leaked all over and we got skrewed by the guy who sold it to us, after tons of dicking around looking for rebuilt units and making them work, we ordered a direct from the factory Brand new with one year warranty ALPHA 1 Gen 1 Outdrive. So in about a week it'll be here and then we'll be in buisness.
