Memorial weekend.

I was going to book at Lincoln Rock State park on Lake Entiat (near Wenatchee), but they're full. Does anybody know of any other good wakeboarding grounds that aren't booked out yet that aren't too far from Seattle?

Cal,

Pateros Motor Inn. It's about twenty miles past Chelan. You might still have a chance there.

There's a city park on Lake Entiat farther up the lake which is pretty cool. I don't remember what it's called, but I believe it's in the town of Entiat itself, so if you search for it online you should be able to find it. By the way, Entiat is awesome!

There are sites, just down the road from Lincoln Rock, but I forgot the name of it. It's past LR, but way before Pateros. Maybe it's on the other side of the river.

Oh hell...I'm no help!

I know your looking for lakes near Seattle but if you haven't been to Lake Roosevelt it's definatley worth the drive, I'm sure you can find a place to camp there. I'd check into Roosevelt as as a possibility if you can't find anything near you.

My friends and I are heading to Banks Lake for MemorialDay weekend, I've heard from a few local guys that it's a great place to go if you don't want alot of people around you while your on the water..but I'll have to see for myself.

Cal, hit Pateros, there will be a bunch of us there Memorial Weekend. If you contact the owner of Pateros Motor Inn he might know of some close camping.

Pateros Motor Inn (509)-923-3302

Hope to see you there.

Gary,

That pic was taken on a small part off of lake Roosevelt, I don't know if it has a name but if you were to launch at the Kettle Falls Marina and head North up the Lake under two bridges you would eventually come to an area on the west of the Lake where you'd have to zig zag throuh some logs that are layed down. Once you were through the logs just stay heading west and it eventually opens up to a completely isolated area that looks like this.

Guys- thank you for all the information. I called up to Pateros, and surprisingly...they still have availability at the Motor-Inm. The only problem: I wouldn't be camping. The desk said that there are no campgrounds actually on the lake. Bummer.

These Lake Roosevelt pics really have me thinking, though. I've really wanted to do a trip up there, but figured the water would be so cold in May...

Anyway, camping-wise, can you just pull up to the side of the lake and set-up tent? That would be ideal... or does anybody know of any campgrounds on the southwest part of the lake?

Thanks again for all the help!

Do a search on the net, because I know in driving up to where we rent our houseboat I've seen several spots that have tent sites. I forget the casino that the Indian Res has up ther but ther's a campground just before you get to it.

Those pics arn't in that area but that lake is so big that you could be there on any busy weekend and still find your own secluded area to board, it's awesome.

Okay, y'all- I'll be seein' you in Pateros. Just booked a bunch of rooms for me and my people. The guy at the Motor-Inn is totally cool...he's like pack'em as long as you pay for'em, and there's no cancellation if I don't use all the rooms. I do have a Memorial weekend after all!!!

BTW, no rooms left. They're all mine.

PBR for all at the motor-inn, just look for the black and white Toyota X22. Be sure to come say hi. Thanks again for the help...see you on the lake! -Cal

Cal,

You'll be leaving your boat right next to Brent and Porter's Tige, and Jeff's Maristar. You won't have to go far to run into them.

After the Memorial trip, you'll probably want to hook up again for our year end trip to Pateros.

What's the expected temp for Pateros, memorial day? Dry suit? Wetsuit? Shorty? Shorts?

Nice...thanks Cliff. I wouldn't imagine there'd be too many wakeboard boats over there, so I guess finding you guys should be pretty easy. See you in a few weeks...
