After a few years of abuse in the sun the midbass drivers in my skylon defcon v reference series have begun to crack around the rubber surrounds. I need a replacement speaker to put in them, but I am not having much luck. Tried to contact Skylon with no help. I believe they were originally equipped with stuff by Image Dynamics. I love these speakers and don't necessarilly want to get ride of them, just need some mid-bass drivers that will work in these wierd cans. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had a couple of them left over from the Deafcon V's we had on the Wakeside boat. I just looked everywhere and couldn't find them. I did find a couple of links to then online. I believe the model number is id8d4. You will need to take one out and check. Good luck.

I have one pulled out and it is only a single voice coil I believe it is 4 ohm. There is no identifing numbers or marks on the speaker, but the ones you recommended look very similar in design. The only real difference apears to be in the dvc design. Could these possibly be wired to work?
