Standing Tall - Clarification

Sup WakeWorld!

I'm new here, but love what you guys got goin on and love the amount of knowledge you guys all share. A brief introduction, I've been wakeboarding for about 10 years now, and like to think that im not too bad with it. My wake jumps are solid, and I can land HS 360s usually half the times i try. Still no luck with that tantrum though..

Anyway, I've been doing a lot of reading about improving my wake jumps, and unfortunately have not been able to understand clearly what is meant when told to stand tall...

Does this mean actually pushing down with your legs on the wake as one would do with an ollie, or does it mean simply riding through the top of the wake with your legs straight?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Picture yourself jumping on a trampoline. As the tramp rebounds to push you back up, you stand tall and push off with your legs at the proper time to get the most energy out of the rebound. It's the same thing with the wake.

great analogy. I think that will actually help a lot. and that's exactly what I wanted to know, whether I should be pushing off the tail or center of the board.

also you will be standing tall against your edge at a bit of an angle and not as you would on land
