I just got finished installing my system with a CDX-F7705 head unit and an RM-XM10 wired remote.

Since I don't have a CD changer, I plan on creating disks with MP3's on them. Here's my questions:

1. What tag information on the MP3 file is displayed by the Sony Head Unit? (file name, artist, song title, genre?)

2. What will the RX-XM10 wired remote display when an MP3 file is playing?

3. Any recommendations on the number of folders / files per folder? I've heard that these units sometimes take a while to start up if the CD has alot of folders and files.

4. Any recommendations on file names? My manual says something about 8.3 format in the root directory, and 32 characters inside a folder.

Thanks

Only disk and song number

A remote waterproof unit that displays song/disk info does not exist on this planet, at lest what I can find after searching for hours and posting to several boards for advice.

The RM-XM10's are awesome otherwise, had two on my last boat and looks like I'm going to repeat since there is nothing better out there.
