Well, right now i have a straight line handle, but after a day of riding my hands have monster blisters and hurt.

So i want a new handle thats easy on the hands.

What do you all reccomend?

Go with the new leather grip proline handle. It gets sticky when you put it in the water.

proline LG handle, its freakin gnar, the grip is soft yet tacky and grippy, i picked mine up at the begining of the season and it looks like i just got a peticure at the end of each run.

and its not to hard on the wallet

I work construction and lift a lot of weights so my hands are like leather already, but yeah the LG is the way to go I love mine.

I got the new straighline ARi with an amoeba grip, and its pretty damn soft, but I probably would have got the LG if my shop carried Proline stuff. I do though like the fact that my straightline doesn't rotate in your hand at all though...

Go with a Bullet Lines leather grip: same quality but cheaper. Ricky Gonzalez rode our handle last weekend on the TSR boat lake, and said he thought our leather grip handle is the best out there right now. Ricky will be riding for us soon; i'm sure. Bret Little who just won the Byerly Toe Jam last weekend rides with our handles too.

Thanks,

Yours is $10 more than the proline leather grip.

You should send me one, see if i like it.

How do you figure it's cheaper. You can get a Proline set up for 119 anywhere on line. Your handle on your website is 79 plus another 79 for a mainline.

ya i got that leather handle, but it hit my wakeboard one time and ripped the leather (like a 1/4") and dented the stuff inside it

does this happen to most handles? i'm pissed since it is my first wakeboard handle and i only used it 5 times and 2 times were for about 15-20minutes...

Did you buy the Proline LG, if so then warranty it, if it ripped.

I vote the Proline Synthesis handle. Soft foam with a great shape to it. If you have fragile hands, get a pummice stone & file down your calluses, eliminates blisters completely & the ladies like the supple touch...

Another vote for the Proline LG. Amazing handle. Compared to foam handles I've used the LG is way better. The grip is amazing. I wouldn't think a handle would make such a difference but since trying my old Premiere handle again (which I'd thought was amazing) I can't believe how much better LG is.

I got mine at http://theboardshack.com

They're awesome people and will get it to you fast.

Gloves......gloves work....for ANY handle, in my experience....

Is there a non-vanity reason why boarders don't usually wear gloves? All I ever really hear are the "I'm too cool to wear em'" comments. The only difference i've noticed between handles is the difference in fatigue...

I wear gloves when the water is cold or i feel a blister coming. I am not cool anyhows so what do i care.

The arguement could be made that you have less feel on things like handle passes with gloves on. Plus mountain men don't wear gloves and we could all be a little extra burly. One of the funnier things I've heard wakeboarding was way back in the day Shaun Murray calling his gloves "mittens".

Get a carbon handle in case you need to beat someone down or like tossing the handle to unsuspecting friends.

Ahhh, the burley-handed handle-pass theory.....Since that stuff is beyond my skill level so far, it never woulda crossed my mind........Good thing I live in the valley too, so I can protect my delicate skin with mittens!

i bought the proline lg, it didn't rip at the seem but there is a tear from where it hit my wakeboard for the first time, one time and break... PISSED!
Old     (innov8)      Join Date: May 2005       06-13-2007, 8:42 AM Reply
Why dont you call proline and see if they will warranty it? Have you even tried?

The Byerly handle works well, its very thin too, easy to hold to.

ya innov8, we e-mailed them about 2 weeks ago, not one word...

i was so mad with it breaking on my 5th time but i didn't want to bring up a hate thread after they contacted me (start a feud like what happened with the ronix 1s)

any suggestions? love the handle but the service has been poor!

Brett,

I sent you an email early this week after reading your post about the problems you had with your LG, but i have not heard a response from you. Just send me an email or give me a call at the factory and we will get a replacement handle taken care of for you. Thanks for the support everyone.

Ethan Johnson, Shawn Burke:

Your right; the LG is cheaper now: it use to be $10 more than ours. I guess I'll be adjusting our prices effective immediately. I also have a Leather grip handle with power core rope that will be going up today for $99.99, so this will solve the combo pricing.

Thanks,

Ken Land

I've got an LG2 - Love the handle, love the service (I've gotten immediate responses from Justin on service issues).

I've ridden the Bullet leather handle and it just didn't compare...

There's an issue with brands that sell direct. They have so much margin that they can undercut the retailer. I know I wouldn't be wakeboarding if it wasn't for the support of my local shop, so that's were my money goes.

Bought the LG1 early this year.
