This wakejunky has finally got his fix, got it about two weeks ago and have been out riding about 5-6 times, benefits living 10 minutes from Lake Shasta. 05 Avalanche only 57 hours when I bought it.
That is actually a Panasonic camera 6 mega pixel, 12x optical zoom. I have it set on sports mode and had my friends snap away from a chase boat. About 3/4 of the many pictures were a little out of focus but 1/4 of about 50-75 pictures were money. Spent only $350 on the camera and very happy with it.
Steve, I've got the same camera. Purchased it last January. Would like to see more pics and any info about settings. Looking forward to shooting pics this summer.
Its surprising how well it shoots on simple mode but the trick is trying to stay focused on the rider the whole time during a wake jump. Just recently I started to use the sports mode and it takes multiple shots which is nice if timing is off. Biggest issue I run into like I said staying focused on the rider, I don't know how many pictures I have of the water and the background looking crystal clear and the rider is a little blurry. Trust me it takes time but I love the camera, awesome having the 12x optical zoom.
Just the center 250 lbs ballast, probably will invest in a pair of the fly high pro x series 400lbs v-drive sacs for the hardcore riders. Unfortunately I won't beable to fill up the walk through locker all the way because the compartment is so small. Not a big deal b/c the port/passenger side likes more weight anyways.
