Stiff steering

I just spent the week on Oroville and my arms feel like they are going to fall off. The steering is VERY stiff on my boat,, 02 MC 230 vrs,, is there anything other than the steering cable that I should check before I replace it?

I just had my steering cable replaced on my 2002 X30 and it made a WORLD of difference. I put up with stiff steering for 2 years and should of had this done a few years ago. Best $275 I ever spent on the boat.

There should be a lube point for the rudder. If that does not work, then probable is the steering cable. Good luck

I have searched all over the cable for the length, but I can not find it printed. I see "Teleflex Made in the USA" printed all over it, but no length. Does anyone know the length of cable I need or where I could find that info out?

I believe the cable length on your 230 (same as my X30) is 21 feet but double check that with our local dealer. I would call Skidim and they should know what you need (www.skidim.com).
