Daniel I know just what you mean that's why gotta find places like Dark Bay, long but narrow bay off Muskoka where the water is always butter once the tubers get tired and leave.

i see people are sportin' the blindside blade.

nice pics. may i give you a suggestion tho? on some pics, zoom out a bit so you can see the height of the rider from the wake/water, and see the size of the wake.

The blade was great but Mikes cracked in half.
I thought My pics really sucked this time for a few different reasons and You are right that there to tight and there's no perspective.

Joe, I know they will I think I'm going to hang up the premier and buy one too.
Old     (dakid)      Join Date: Feb 2001       08-29-2004, 7:58 PM Reply
how did it feel riding the blade, coming from a premier?
Old    walt            08-29-2004, 8:10 PM Reply
Joe, Well as I was about to take My standard cut and Mike and Shawn were saying to each other that I might be in for a surprise when I hit the wake... and I was !
I found that I didn't need to be so aggressive with My edging and the Blade was less work.
Mike tried My Premier on His second set because His board was broke and We all noticed a big difference in His pop too (less pop). So I'm sold on the board and I'm hoping to get one soon.

i saw you guys at orwood at the end of the day. i was on the red x-star. we had holland tract to ourselves for pretty much the whole day. doesnt look like it was too busy on vics either.

what happened to mike's blade? how did it break?
Old    walt            08-29-2004, 8:42 PM Reply
Scott, It was nice and quiet out there.

I'm not sure how His board cracked...It was a small crack while I was on it and it got really big when Mike got back on it.

I'll be starting the Atkins diet this week.

Walt, thanks for the pulls Friday, it was great to meet you and I'm sure we'll have a chance to ride together soon. I hope you were able to ride OK Saturday with your bindings. Sorry about that. Sounds like you might have a new deck soon. That's cool.

There is no identifying reason that my board broke other than the fact that I weigh 230 pounds and must have cracked it on a hard landing. I don't throw any huge moves, but I do land hard out in the flats every now and again which could have caused the break. It's just one of those things that happens every now and then. I still love the board and can't wait to get a new one so I can be on it again.

Man, all you guys trading in your Premiers, I might just have to try this Blade board myself... See what all the hype is about.

I'll try anything once! Gotta remain open-minded! To see Shawn on one, it must be good. He tries other boards and always seems to go back to the Premier. Who's got em to demo here in Sonoma Co.?

by the way, if you're shawn's or mike's "size", i recommend the 142. if not, then go with the 138.
