Never going to land it if you dont give it a try... Props for getting out and doing it. Do you have a trampoline to practice on? I have been working on this trick and have found that its best to get the pop then bring my front knee up and pin my ear to my lead shoulder. I have a friend that does these with a nose grab using his back hand and they look insane!
I don't have a tramp anymore so I might have to rely on some feedback. I think the main problem was that I let the handle get away from me and it just pulled me into whatever that was. I think I dipped my head for a roll too instead of just doing the ear to shoulder move. I've seen them done with grabs and they look sick so hopefully I can figure it out, last person to try this on our boat broke his foot...
Props for the effort.. I have no useful advice except to try to come back from being upside down. I have a whole lot of footage of me landing on my ass trying backrolls. Stupid board just doesn't want to stick.

Cas I compared at your video against mine and the only thing I can see is that it looks like you let your hands get too far away from your body like a raley, and that stalled out your flip.
Corey, I was 50 at the time that was shot. Only cable now, haven't been behind the boat in a couple years. But I think I can still do all that and maybe better after a few sets to get the feel of the wake back.
John, I'm seriously depressed after watching your clip ... reminds me of the 'over 50' thread a while back ... I still have a few years to go but I don't think that I'm going to learn much of anything anymore
