Dumb Perko question!

OK.....Batt. 1 cranks, Batt. 2 runs audio...center pin connected to starter....then 1 and 2, ground jumper between batts.

How do you operate the damn thing?? I want to crank the boat, charge the batts. and be able to switch to batt 2 to power audio and float.

I just went thru this. I assume you have bat # 1 +terminal going to perko switch T1 and bat#2 going to perko switch T2 with your starter and accessories connected to the perko common terminal. Just turn your perko nob to "all" and you charge/run both bateries. or to 1 or 2 to run/charge from either. What works for me is I have Just my Starter and auto builge line connected to perko common. then I have my amps/accessories connected directly to the positive terminal of T2. That way I always have one battery dedicated to starting that i can switch off when I am just floating/listining to tunes/drinking beer. I then just switch it back to all once started so everything gets charge from alternator.
