Demo both boats and see what works the best for your needs, they are both great boats, but are completely different.

The reason i ask is i just sold a 2005 210 and was thinking of making a change. really like the look of the xstar but have always owned cc. thinking of making a change but do not want to make a 55000.00 mistake. Thanks

If you try both boats and you pick the one you like best, you can't really make a mistake. They are both great boats.

Depends on which motor you are considering for the Xstar.

The wakes are both awesome, but are also complete opposites. I much prefer the Xstar wake, especially when weighted, but, there's no denying that the 210 wake. It's a BEAST!

I personally don't like dealing with the finecky wakes.

I agree. Both great boats.

A couple things to consider with your choice.
1) The X-star is going to need a lot more weight then the 210 to get comparable size of wakes.
2) When you load up that X-star with weight you are going to consume more fuel then you will in a loaded down 210.
Again both great boats, I suggest that you spend some time in both boats before you thrown down that 55k.

doesn't the new 210 require a lot of weight also?

For my liking it does. Definitely not as much as the star.

The Xstar will take more weight, naturally, because it's a much bigger boat. You're comparing two great boats, but two very different boats.

go test drive them both. push buttons and kick tires. they're both totally different from each other.

I have owned a very nice dedicated tow boat & sold it because apparently I needed something it didn;t provide.

I want to buy another very nice dedicated tow boat.....what is my next step, ask a bunch of strangers what they would buy.....

Take each for a test drive, pull the plug....see which takes longer to sink....
