Anyone know how wide the opening is on the surf rack on an Axis or Malibu or if a Shred Stixx board will fit. Going to order some OEM combo racks but my dealer is about 60 miles away to try to see if my Shred Stixx will fit.
Be careful because even "surf racks" can dent or crack your boards. I would recommend not using a rack like that for a board like a Shred Stixx. If you damage it it should be from a big air, not a rack haha
It should fit, the openings for the surf is pretty big. I put my koal in it with plenty of room. Heed Mitch's warning, i now have two huge dents in my board from the racks.
The combo racks have one 1" slot & one 2" slot... We have started to put our surf forks on our ski bases to give them a wider foot print between the forks, to better hold the board in and disperse the load of the board to a wider area.. Started to do this for the wider & longer surfs and have had some really good resonses.. We also offer it with double surf forks that have two 2" slots, or single slot 2 8/5" surf forks..
