I'm looking at a 2005 Tige 24V - anyone have any comments about what kind of wake it puts up and how great of a surf wake it puts out? Also, I live at high altitude and some friends have mentioned that the Excalibur 330 engine might be a little underpowered - anyone have any ideas?

You should consider the 24ve it is the Cadillac.
Very good design, seats on rear deck, walk through transom, had to be designed by a boarder.

That's my 2 cents

I have a Tige 24 V 2005. I love the boat. It puts out a terrific wake for wakeboarding. I have the GM 5.7 340 HP engine and it powers very well. In order to surf behind it, I need at least 1000 pounds on one side, and the surf wake is excellent.

If you are willing to prop it down a little for high altitude, that engine would be fine. YOu would just give up a little top end speed.

I have an 05 24V with the 340HP and love it. The wake is excellent for boarding and surfing. We run the factory ballast plus 800lbs of lead.

What I really like about the boat is insane amounts of storage. With three boys and my gear I love the fact the two rear lockers and passenger dash locker can swallow our combined 3 wakeboards, two skates and a kneeboard with plenty of room left over for vests, ropes and other stuff. Tige moved way up in the JD Powers poll this year as well.
