i saw an old post awhile back about taking the nicks and marks out of your rub rail - was wondering if anyone had done this recently? is there a difference between straight acetone and, say, a finger nail polish remover that has acetone in it? do you wet sand - and with what grits? any other tips or suggestions?

What I did, was light sand paper action. It looks "dull" now instead of shiny, but the dings are gone.
