I just bought my first boat today! MC X9 2002 for 34k. Please give any advice good or bad about the boat. Thanks

I have an 01 X-9 and really luv it. It handles very well and lots of room. It is the perfect family all around boat for water sports. I think of it as the sports car of boats. When wakeboarding/surfing I use the stock ballasts one in front at the keel and one in back under the seat. Wake is more than enough for us. We are able to wakesurf with no problems. I know I will catch hell for saying this but I personally prefer the DD over the V drives. They handle/drive mutch better and not as sluggish out of the hole. The X-9 is a wide hull so you will have to really sac it to make a huge wake. But I think it is the best all around hull MC ever made. By the way your price is right in line for what I paid for mine a two years ago (but it is older). I think you did good!

Fun boat you will love it. I have friends with one. They slalom on the course, wake surf both sides with no additonal sacks and wakeboard behind it and can't be happier.
