I already have an amplifier going to two mb quart tower speakers. Im pretty sure it is a 2 channel eclipse amp. If I were to add an L5 with an additional mono amp, how should I run the power wire ,and where could I ground the amp to?

Run the power wire as short as possible, making sure to keep it clean and out of the way. Run power and ground directly to the battery.

So do I splice into the existing power wire with the another power wire going to the amp?

No. Unless you have a very large feed allready. Were talking 2ga or better. Other than that run a new feed from the battery to the amp. And make sure you put a inline fuse as close to the battery as possible.
