lol, I can tell you the boat isn't stolen but I can assure you the pictures are. that is a common case of an ebay scammer. he's not too good, if you notice he is not a registered user. good scammers will hijack someones ebay account that has a lot of positive feedback. I see x-2's, ski nautiques for sale on ebay all the time, buy it now for 5900. just make sure you send the money western union...lol

a dead give away is the fact that the seller has no idea that Malibu didn't make a 247 wakesetter in 2004.

You guys notice it says 2005 at the heading, then scroll down and it says 2004. 247 were only in 2006 to begin with.

Scam for sure.

Total scam. Here's the problem with eBay now. They have a website that is so huge, they have no control over it. Even if they think they have control, it's all about collecting the fees. I'm in dispute now for a crooked seller. If you think this is not a scam then buy 2 and give one 2 me. I'll pay the shipping.

The mc x80 that was on ebay a few weeks back has been picked up as a scam as well. If it has a direct link to go to instead of ebay bid it is usually a scam to get a bite on quick cash.

I bet lots of people open an ebay account to sell a brand new 06, 05, 04 Malibu. He has to be honest he doesn't have any negative feedback!

Look at some of the spelling too. Finnance and commited? Rich enough to own that boat but not go to junior high? fishy to me.

Also notice he is running 4 other consecutive auctions. I emailed Ebay - let's see how long this stays up.

i think it would be the funniest thing if this guy was legit. for instance, it's actually a prototype 247 from around 2004/2005 with a special hammerhead with 450 hp. god, we would suck so bad!

I thought that dealer was in Budapest....

Hello and thank you for your interest,

The 2005 MALIBU Wakesetter 247 LSV is like new, with no scratches, no marks, no hidden defects.
There are only 60 hours on the boat and engine.
It looks great,it is in excellent condition, I have only used it for a few times and only in fresh watter.
Unfortunately,I must sell it right away. This is a one owner boat and it has a clear US title.
If you are interested in buying it the price is $27,000.00.
The boat will be shipped from Budapest ,Hungary and I will handle all shipping arrangements and costs.
It will take no more than 12-14 days for the shipping company to deliver the boat to you.
The transaction will go through eBay for our own protection.
They will hold and insure your money until receipt of the boat in good conditon.
You will have 15 days from the time you receive the boat to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not.
If you wish to purchase it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through Ebay.
After that Ebay will contact you with further information and instructions.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Warm Regards
Michael

you only get to see a test boat, then you can buy it so it takes 27,000 to see it then you can buy it for 35,000 more? Thats what it looks like to me.

I told that guy I'll fly anywhere to see the boat. this was his reply
Dear Sir ,

I want to be honest with you and I inform you that i have stop the auction because i have 2 buyers interested in this boat , they are willing to pay the buy it now price .To be fair with all possible buyers I will sell the boat to the first buyer that will arange the Square Trade deposit payment . If you are able to make the payment today or tomorrow you will be the next owner of this boat .
First I would like to tell you that I am in United Kingdom and the boat is in Square Trade's custody in US the boat will be shipped from there on my expence .
The boat is like new , in perfect condition . I am selling this boat because the shipping to Europe will cost me to much .I have this boat from my father in law .The Buy it now price is $5,900 . I will sell the boat to the first one that makes a 2,950 $ deposit through Square Trade .

Terms,Conditions Shipping and handling:

The shipping address must be provided before sending the deposit payment. The boat will be shipped through JC MOTORS or DAS Shipping Company . The boat will only be sent after receiving the deposit payment. I agreed with eBay Square Trade to send my boat to its warehouse since I am not in US .
This way, both sides (seller and buyer) are insured by eBay.

Payment:

If you will offer the buy it now price I will suport all the shipping from the warehouse to your address .
For the deposit payment i would like to use eBay Square Trade as a third party . They will keep your money until you get the boat and will release it to me upon delivery .
Here are my name and address you need for the payment in case you decide to buy the boat :

Jacques Gilles
22 Merton High Street
London SW19 1DN
United Kingdom

The boat is ready for shipment, i just need the payment confirmation from Square Trade with the transfer's details and the boat will be delivered to your address.
REFUND-After the boat arrives, you have a 7 days period for inspection. If the boat is different than the way i've described it, 100% refund - transfer fees and the boat will be shipped back to the warehouse on my expence. Anyway, i don't think it will be necesary, you'll love this boat from very first moment you'll see it.
Buy with confidence!
I will have pay for an insurance to eBay Square Trade as proof my trustworthiness.
Thanks for the conceded time .
I am looking forward to your reply.

Jacques Gilles

I think the give away on the Malibu scam is the american back ground... the fact that there is no Malibu dealer there is also probably a bit of a hint ;)
