Has anyone else noticed a big decrease in the number of boats on their lakes? On one of the lake I usually ride on I'd say atleast 1/3 of the boats aren't even in the water compared to last year. Its working out pretty good for me because I've had the lake to myself on several occasions so far this year. Have gas prices decreased the number of boats on your local lake or have they decreased your time on the water?

I went out on Folsom this morning... felt like an armada of boats. It was RIDICULOUS. I'd have to say no... but I wish I was having that experience.
Gas prices haven't changed how much I go out... just how much it costs me.

wow thats crazy that there is such a difference depending on the area. I will say that there are many more wakeboats on the lake but overall there is a huge decrease in traffic on my local lakes.

I was at castaic from 7 to 10 this morning, when I left there was a huge line to get in. Weekends suck.

I'd have to say that there are for certain more boats on my lake. Heck on my street there are 4 more boats than last year.

We went out on Memorial day and found the traffic to be much less than in previous years and we were out again this past Saturday and I could not believe we could ride until 1:00 in the afternoon with hardly any other traffic. So far it looks like Metro Detroit is feeling the gas price and people are staying home.
