For those that don't know, it looks like the Stunt Junkies episode with JD Webb is going to be on 1/22 on Discovery channel. I think it might be on a few more times in addition to that date. I've got my Tivo set and I'm looking forward to checking it out.

On tonights episode they will have water ski jumping (ski flying) where he will "attempt" to jump 18 boats. Good thing they dropped the towers on the boats. 10:30 est Discovery Channel.

Can somebody record that and put it on www.youtube.com or myspace videos so I can watch it.

I'm not from the US, and Stunt Junkies is not in Discovery Channel for Latin America.

THANKS!

I think the one after JD's involves bungee jumping with a base jump in the end and if you look real hard you might see another wake boarder.

Delta Sessions 2 Offered several clips from JD's section in the movie to Stuint Junkies. So if you like the clips, make sure to check out DS2 for my of JD's amazing riding.

Wow, that was way more impressive than I thought it was going to be...and I was pretty sure I was going to be blown away. The jumps that Parks and Rusty did were crazy enough, but this took it to a whole new level. The crash in practice was scary as hell and absolutely nuts! It's even cooler because JD is such a great person. Definitely get to a TV and check this out.

I like how they introduces Murray as a "Professional Stunt Boat Driver", lol...

Props to JD that was more impressive than I thought it would be.

My daughter asked me, "Why does he always laugh like that!" :-) Luckily, he was laughing after that crash!

I posted this on the other thread:

It was pretty cool to see him do that stunt and see Wakeboarding approach mainstream, or atleast get some recognition.
I was a little disappointed with a couple of aspects of the show:
* He didn't jump the center of the fountain. Don't take this the wrong way, 60 feet was an incredible distance to cover. It would have been nice to see him center it like evil kneivel did at Ceasers.

* They called Shaun Murray a stunt boat driver, THE man - a stunt boat driver. I think not.

* a quote from the host '26 mph, that's fast for a wakeboard'......poser

Like I already said ,it was impressive to see; especially after seeing the still pictures in the magazine. The guy is amazing.

JD didn't jump over the center of the fountain because it's not possible. The rope can't go from the boat on one side of the fountain, completely around the fountain, and then all the way back to the rider -- it would get caught. And the boat can't drive through the middle of the fountain, right? So that's why you didn't see a jump over the middle.

The entire thing was an amazing job on JD's part and everyone else involved. It was definitely entertaining and nerve-racking to watch in person.

Garrett, Your joking right? He had 125 ft rope and carved way out from the boat to hit the ramp. Your are right it would be far more dangerous but it would have looked far better.

The boat didn't drove thru the middle of the launch ramp? How did he hit that?

Amazing no doubt, but it can be out-done.

I'm not joking Bruce. I was there on location and talking to everybody involved, including JD. I guess you'd have to see the fountain in person to realize it, but the jump over the middle couldn't be done. The way the fountain is constructed, if the ramps were set in the middle, and JD was cutting in towards them, the rope would get caught on the fountain on the way over and then up. The ramps were set up in such a way for JD's actual jumps that the rope would not hit the fountain. Plus, the fountain is some kind of historical landmark in Orlando and the panes it is constructed of are practically irreplaceable.

Take a closer look at some of the pictures in this article and you might understand what I'm saying.

Did anyone else think the gap looked smaller than 60 feet? I don't know if it was the camera angles or what but it looked a lot shorter to me.

I was also wondering why they were saying "we don't really know how big or wide it(the fountain) is; we can't find any information about it". How hard is it to get a measuring tape...?

they werent supposed to be able to touch it i thought since it was a monument. But then they jumped on it to tie of the jump and landing so i dunno.

I still can't believe he didn't break his legs when he hit the safety deck of the trainer gap. He snapped the board! gnarly. I though it was sick for sure and JD is a charger.

Alright, I can see the reason for the offset. I guess they need a bigger tower. That gap is just huge.
