question for cali people......

i'm going to be coming to cali during august 10-18 for a surfing trip. i plan on statying at or as close to san onorfe as possible. i was wondering if anyone could recommend a camp site near the beach or as close as possible. prefereably on the beach if they have that. me and one or two other buddies will be staying in a tent. also if you have any suggestions on cool things to do in the area, resturants that are specific to cali, or anything else please put it down below. i've also heard of the wavehouse. is it in san deiego and worth going to? thanks.

There is a campsite at San Ononfre!!
If not there is one in South Carlsbad and one in Oceanside. All are on the beach or on the cliffs above the beach.

They are all State run beaches and must be reserved online.
