i was quoted in the range of 57,000 to 62,000 for the 04 x-star. depending on options of course. does anyone know if the price is in the ball park or should it be cheaper or higher. thanks for any info.

What options for that price?? Is it loaded??
Old    triplexracing            07-19-2003, 11:22 PM Reply
57 is base price. it comes standard with ballast p-pass ,stuff of the sort. options would be bigger engine , different colors, matching trailer more speakers etc.

One at my local shop went out the door for 84, and they got the most xstars in the nation.

Geeze, $84K for a roomy boat with a rampy wake.

Perhaps another roomy boat with a rampy wake should be considered for half the price - its called the BU-VLX.

Ive heard of a place in arkansas where they are 54K but tney will only be getting 4 this yr.
also today at the dallas boat show one went for 70K but has a cash back option of 8K after 36months if you keep the boat for 36 months as the original buyer. also a dealer here has a used black one for 68 including TTL it has 25hrs on it

holy crap i never realized those boats cost so much....i plan on buying an older ski nautique or supra and getting some fat sac's/tower...i can never see myself spending $70k on a ski boat even if i was rich(which im not

The boat can be had for around 70K with the LQ9 Caddi motor, it runs better than the 8.1 and the MCX may be not quite enough. If you can get one for less, JUMP JUMP JUMP!

my dealer told me the mcx is getting some more ponies for 04 i believe up to 365. the lq9 has 385 but it cost alot more than the mcx.

I dropped off my boat this morning and was talking to the MC guys in Irving - the Black used X Star is SOLD! It looks bad to the bone in solid black.

on the 04 models you can only get a white deck

we originally were gonna get a black deck and hull and have the side of the boat red but we changed to all yellow w/ a white deck. they said they did this because the deck was getting very hot and burning peoples feet.

I would definitely get the reverse hull color so the hull color is all the same. I'm not a big fan of the white bottem with color on the sides.

Travis Marine in Knoxville, TN got a black 04 in yesterday. They're asking $62,900. It comes with ballast, PP, bimini, Mastercraft's new 04 board racks, 3 pairs of component speakers in the boat, a subwoofer in the factory "box", a pair of components on the tower, two amps, 4 tower lights (katz, I think). It's got a 350 h.p. engine. The upgraded engine would have been 68 and change according to the dealer.

I heard the 04 board racks would be different. What are they like?

GreatDane, Do you work for Malibu? The majority of your posts sound like a Malibu commercial.

Nope. Excellent. Maybe they will give me a discount on my next BU! If only they would put the VLX topside on the SAN underside!

The yellow one is sweet.

Good choice Dane, then you don't have to contend with that CLAMSHELL seat.

I hope you can fit that wider/bigger interior in that smaller hull and still get the same wake that you are looking for.

I'd bet you could almost get the VLX deck on the Nautique hull. The hulls are very close in size with the VLX 2" wider and the Nautique 2" longer and 8" deeper (based on draft measurements).
