I currently have a optima in my truck and it has been great for 3 years. However I am now in the market for 2 new batteries for my boat I was looking at the blue top optimas but some people are saying that is not the best choice. what is everyone else using and why? thanks for all of the help in advance.

Really depends on how large the system is in your boat. I've had really good luck with Optima over the years in different vehicles and also in my dad's bass boat that he uses every weekend.

My personal boat I'll be using VMAX charge tanks.

I am running 2 amps one is 600 watts the other I think is 800 and thinking about running one more to another sub. I have the 800 amp running to interior speakers and a 10 inch sub and the other is running 4 mb tower speakers which has 5 lights on it.

You'll probably be fine with 2 extra Optimas or an equivalent.

Keep in mind your battery usage when considering a marine battery. Marine batteries are best used for cycling applications, like trolling motors or baitwell pumps, and are not always the best starting batteries.
