Adding new subs to 09 Malibu 23 LSV

Putting together the system in the new boat. Can't decide whether to use the 2 JL 12w6v2's I have now or get one 12w7 or 13w7. Any way I go it will be pushed by a JL 1000/1. The 2 W6's would have to be sealed for space reasons as the sub/subs will go under drivers dash of 09' 23 LSV. I could probably find the space to port either of the w7's. What do you think?

nu bu-
it is always smarter to go with the driver/drivers that are conducive to the space provided.you are on the right track with using only one sub ported rather than the two sealed. your design is very important ,but if done correctly will far outperform the 2 drivers,especially on low end extension. if ever drivers are suffocated ,they perform far worse than that of a larger enclosure

Brett,

Pick up the boat tomorrow, ended up working a deal on an instock boat instead. I was going to order a boat the same color anyways and when I saw that one it was game over.

Hate I pulled some of it out, just the 1000/1 and 1 of the 12w6's leaving me with 2. I sold the boat, lucky enough to find a buyer.

Nu bu, it your keeping the JL1000 go for the 12W7. TO get the most out of the 13 you probably need more power.

What made you go with the LSV? I thought you were feelin' the VLX. Did you get the Maliview?

I wanted to go bigger this time, I didn't realize how big the 09 lsv's really were. They are even bigger inside that the 08's due to some changes on the interior. The new VLX is a great boat and would have been more than happy with it.

I did get Malivue.
