I was out on the lake today and the speedometer on PP wasn't reading correctly. I tried to recalibrate it with no luck. I would be going around 20 and it would read 8. I was out last weekend and it worked perfectly.

Has anyone else had this problem or have any advice on how to fix it? My boat is a '00 X-Star if that helps.

Thanks.

Check the paddlewheel to see if it spins freely.

Where is the paddlewheel at? I didn't install this it came with the boat.

I wasn't having any other issues with electronics. I will take my voltage meter and see what I get out of it.

The paddle wheel will be under the boat, probably in the middle on the other side of the hull from the water intake. It's only a couple inches in diameter and doesn't stick out far below the hull. It's black plastic. If you crawl around under your boat you'll find it without too much trouble. Flick it with your finger and it should spin freely.

Thanks Rod and Magnus,

It looks like somehow I borke off one one arm of the paddle wheel. Should I contact PP to order a new wheel or would a dealer have that?

Any clue how much of a pain it will be to replace the wheel?

Thanks guys.

contact your dealer first otherwise pp will get one out quick, they generally come with an extra one!

They are super easy to replace!
