Boat shows

The detroit boat show is coming up in a few weeks and i was wondering if i can expect to see any used boats at the show. I figured that the dealers will wanna sell whatever they have so used may be in the equation. I have never been before since i am new to this.

Dealers are only allowed to bring the 2006's to the shows but I'm sure they can sell you something used at a good price from their inventory.

You may see 05 demo boats. That's how I picked up my boat last year. My boat was loaded with more than I would have normally, only about 40 hours on it, and full warranty.

A typical boat show is meant as a showcase for new products, not a used boat lot. Floor space is simply too valuable and costly to bring in a collection of used boats, plus anything that can't be carried out by hand has to stay till the end of the show.

I've seen kiosks at boat shows with used boat pictures on display in Dayton and Cincinnati. There might be something like that at Detroit, is that where you’re going?

Yeah its at COBO in detriot, same place they have the international auto show. They may have some extra space there since they can fit every 2006 car model in the place, i don't think there are that many boats. But then again i have never been before.
