Hahaha, the marina on my lake has an old pump....2.99 is as high as it goes. They have to hold that price until next year when they will get a new pump. Before long, I might be filling up tanks in my boat and bringing them to my truck.

Wakeboarding is already considered more of a rich kid sport in America to most. This is not going to help the sport. Boats keep getting bigger and bigger and suck more and more gas. I think I am going to hold out to but a boat till they come out with the nuclear powered Malibu.

$2.56 South Tampa, FL. They asked to conserve gas. I'm sorry to all, but I'm going out this Sunday. The (poopie) thing about this weekend is that I'm still in my cast. I get to be a drunken spectator.

I have the solution. They say that if the average MPG for the commuter cars in america went up 6MPG there would no longer be a crisis of any kind. Well, that might not happen, but if most of America went to 4 - 10 hour days it would cut out 20% of fuel use. Three day weekends every weekend!

The major oil importing station in the gulf has been closed temporarily. 1.1 million barrels a day has stopped i got one of those chain texts yesterday, saying not to buy gas on the 1st and to send to 10 ppl... it made me laugh! people think that if they don't buy gas for a day that prices will come down for them. not going to happen

the highest i've seen in jersey was $3.02, but mostly ranging from $2.69-$2.99., however the gulf coast does supply the northeast with 1/3 of our oil so we are soon f'ed!! i mean i am complaining about gas prices and my commutes, but I saw a fuggin pic on the net today of gas prices $5.87 in GA...now's that's just freaking WRONG!!! imagine when people need to heat their f'in homes this winter...it's just getting way out of hand...

Gas here went from $2.59 on monday to $3.29 today at some stations (that still have gas) Our moronic gov. gave a statement that there was going to be a shortage of gas due to a pipeline not working. Now there are many gas stations that don't have gas.

they really need solar powered boats, i mean come on most boats sit out in the sun all day long, why not get a little bonus from that. i know those would be expensive but they have to start making them sometime to allow the prices to go down. i don't know why it's so complicated and expensive but i guess i'm not a genius in science.

Let's see. BP would stand for British Petroleum. Everytime we turn around, we have to help the Brits. Now look how we are repayed. That's the highest I've seen. Maybe they can take some of those profits and buy themselves a real military so we don't have to bail them out constantly.

I also feel for people that have family's down there that they have not been able to get in touch with. What totally disgusts me is a government that tells people to leave, knowing most of them neither have the transportation or the money to leave. After the fact, they have the money to provide relief aid when in fact that money should have been put up front to evacuate the people that were unable to do so. That would have saved lives and brought peace of mind to alot of families.

$3.39 today in my area (8 miles north of trenton, nj), but some stations are $2.99! 40 cents difference and the higher price is at GASCO! Guess who owns all these no-name brand stations! (hint:non-americans) I'm glad I filled everything up last weekend! We're getting fleeced and our government won't help with price control!

$2.99 for premium in downtown Portland. Looks like a bargain compared to some places. And we usually have some of the highest prices. Glad the boat has a full tank for tommorrow evening. I am going to feel guilty out there burning up gas wakeboarding though.

So far we aren't to high in Seattle yet at $2.79 tonight, but I'm sure in the morning it will be up atleast 10 cents. We should feel lucky really though, it was already over $3 a gallon in Hawaii before the hurricane, and thats with a "Gas Cap" on wholesale gasoline. http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/energy/2005-08-24-hawaii-gas_x.htm

Jamie, i hear you there. When I first started driving I remember paying as low as 65 cents a gallon. One thing that really pisses me off though is after 9/11, gas companies got in trouble for price gouging. Well, what do you call this. I know the president doesn't have all the power, but there has to be some government intervention at some point. If there isn't, we are going to see price increases on absolutely everything. Think of how many products that are used everyday contain petroleum. Something has to be done soon!

These gas prices really suck. Have'nt went outside yet to see the prices today but I guess we are expecting somewhere around $4 a gallon soon here on the Colorado River. Sure makes it hard to train the kids. We now take shorter sets but it seems to make us have more quality runs. We've had glass all week, seems as though most are content to float or sit on the beach. It's usually crazy for this weekend but most are not traveling. That's the only positive thing for us wakeboarders.

the government has loaned oil from its reserves to major oil companies for refining. European officials are considering sending supplies to the US as part of an accord among Int'l Energy Agency members to share during emergencies." hmm.. I think Europeans should send their damn oil sooner. "13 major refineries are still not operating. GOOD NEWS: the offshore oil port allowed tankers to unload crude for the first time since Aug. 27. Production in the Gulf has not yet been resumed as many platforms and rigs were damaged or sunk." probably take a while for prices to settle down

When I was in AZ earlier in the week, the river was pretty empty. Just the usual jetski crowds around Laughlin, pretty bare around the Needles, Fort Mohave area. If it was that empty most the time, I'd spend more time at my folks house in Fort mohave Lines are starting to pop up here in NoCal, had to wait today, and two stations were empty/out of gas. The cashier said their prices were gonna spike today or tommarow, diesel was raised 28 cents a gallon over night at that station.
