I still haven't put any permanent CF numbers on the mighty Malibu cuz I don't want to spoil it's clean, ghostly look. Oddly enough, I haven't been hassled about it once. However, since my boat is going to be sitting in the water for five days for Brostock, I figured I'd better get some numbers. Any clever ideas for doing something quick and dirty?

Get the standard numbers but in all white- and then on one side of them have a black tiny 'script' style line accenting it. From afar- and probably pretty close as well- it would be as if you had no numbers. When the police pull you over your fine.

Quick and very dirty would be to take some electrical tape and manually throw the numbers up on it graffiti style.

No worries if it gets messed up and it would probably look kinda cool in a kindergarten kind of way.

even quicker would be a dry erase marker! Don't know how long it would last, but quick and dirty! I second the Kmart numbers for temporary use. Cheap and easy.

Mr.Williams-

I agree with you on not wanting to put numbers on your boat! A buddy of mine had his numbers air brushed on and the look sick. All graffiti style very cusotmer looking. I will see if I can score a pic.

Put numbers on a piece of lexan, mount it with small suction cups to the inside of your side windows. Dealers do this and it works well.

David, get temporary numbers for the boat and place them inside the windshield. Put them on a piece of white posterboard. Tell them your numbers were special ordered and have not arrived yet. This is what I did on boat demos.

Use painters tape for two reasons:
1. Easy put on and take off.
2. You can buy it in different colors.

We put down clear packing tape first. Then the cheap-o Wally World numbers on top of that. It will peel off in one clean strip later.
