Dan, I here you, and I acknowledged that your point about geography and climate was indeed logical. The problem is, I think people expected the board to move faster, which is why we all have to be honest and say, if I'm not going to ride it, then I should contact the person before me and tell them to cross my name off the list and send it to the next person. Whether the happens is another story. I don't have anything personally vested in this because I didn't even put my name on the list. However, I think your offer to let all the MN kids get a shot at riding it is great, although, that might mean it's stuck on your boat for 72 hours straight (j/k, in good way). The only other option would be to have it snake latitudinally across the country instead of by longitude. The issue to that is getting those currently situated to receive it, to agree to that. Either way, the idea was awesome, and I think that complaining (not saying you, but anyone) is bad form in light of the idea and effort. To those that are getting it, riding it and passing it, thank you.

The board ships from Eastman,GA today on UPS to : alan owen 120 vickey ct nashville, tn 37211 While I had it, it was passed around within a 20 mile radius to 4 more riders. Sorry for the delay , but it was being ridden. Next time, ya'll don't skip GA and we won't have to hold it hostage....

It would appear as though we are back 'on the list' (good). Now let's get this thing moving and grooving. REMEMBER: Mr. Murray's instructions...3 days and ship it.

It's a Hyperlite mistake or a blem board. The topside is actually a legacy bottom sheet.

hey guys, after riding all day friday and then going straight to work (12 hrs) friday night, i did not make it by the post office before noon on saturday, so the board will be going out first thing monday morning. i have worked nights all weekend, so i will not get a chance to ride it again before mailing it. i definitely want to be considerate and appreciative since the board had been hijacked for close 3 weeks. anyway, the board was pretty light for it to be as big as it was. i was suprised by the board's width. it was full 17" wide which to me makes it more stable. that hybrid rocker definitely pops as hard as a 3 stage, it caught me off guard the first few times actually. i really liked the feel and tracking of the board a lot. i rode one set without the fins, 2 sets with the fins, behind my tige with 1350 lbs of ballast. although it still had good bite without the fins, i liked it with the fins a little bit better but i'm thinking most people won't need them. did it make me a better rider? i wish i could say i landed my first invert or something, but no, i still suck. maybe in a few years when i have a better foundation, i can come back and revisit this board (when i can actually ride). LOL i think it will take more than murray's board to get me riding. i need to come down to the boarding school for a week and have murray show me himself. then i'll be ready. thanks for this awesome program shaun and congrats on the new baby girl

The Board needs to go north , Not south right now...It can catch the other southern states later on when Shaun sends it back out in Sept.

hey david, i just followed the list above. going north now makes sense to me, you should probably re-arrange the list and make a new "official list" because otherwise it is set to go to alabama next.

When Reese helped out on the list he was updating ,Not specifying who gets it next or who signed up first. Head north young man! They only have a limited time to ride before sending it back to Shaun by September for the expo, The season will be over by then & it can hit Ala ,Miss La, TX, & so on..... Conversation with son over the last four months. Me: Son Shaun shipped the board out today, we should get it fairly soon since we are in south Alabama. Son: Great, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Me: It's in GA now we should get it soon now. Son: We'll probably never get it. Me: It's in VA now, but it will be back down to AL soon. Son: We'll probably never get it. Me: We're only 10 down on the list now. Son: We'll probably never get it. Me: We're only 7 down on the list now. Son: We're not going to get it this year. Me: We're only 5 down on the list now. Son: We're not going to get it. Me: Looks like we're going to get it, we're 4th down on the list now. Son: Dad, we're are not going to get it. Next weeks conversion. Me: Son, sorry, but it looks like we're not going to be getting it after all. Son: Maybe next year. Me: No, we'll get it in the fall, we need to send it north because their season is almost over. Son: Dad, we'll never get it. It's the thought that counts though. Me: You're right, Shaun did a very good thing and a lot of people have been able to enjoy it.

Board Review: I popped the fins off of the board before I hit the water and I must say it's a lot of fun for lip tricks and general surface play. The molded fins still track very well and there is no need for the center fin. Overall the board is pretty fast and has a nice predictable pop. The core is super hard and there is absolutely no flex in this thing...its like a freakin rock. Landings were average, not too soft and not too hard. This is a great all around board. I won't be trading my Ronix One for a Murray, but this is absolutely a nice all around ride. A- on the shape. Well done. HOWEVER: I've gotta be honest... From the minute I pulled this thing out of the box I thought it was the ugliest board I've ever seen. Sorry Shaun, the board rips but man...we gotta do something about those top sheet graphics! The mat finish could be cool if it was black and had a west coast feel to the graphics, but the grey is drab and the center graphic doesnt match the mat finish at all. My whole crew's initial though was this thing is fugly. I don't want to end on a bad note...this thing is dope and rides really well. Just not a fan of the graphics. Here are a couple of pics from the set today. The board will be shipped out Friday morning to Mr. Sasser. Enjoy:

im sorry i have to do this, but i need to be taken off the list. I ride in Northern Wisconsin and at the rate this board is going there is no way i will be able to ride it before my season ends. I stop ridding full time at the end of august due to school in september. By october the lakes are in 50's and there is always chances of snow. It would have been nice if some climate consideration was taken into account.

Hey shaun any quick way to circulate another one of each boards for the bros out there. The process is taking more time than expected. Just a reminder..two days...is all you should get. If you cant ride it it in that amount of time...please pass it on. I absolutely been tearing it up this year on this 140 Murray...best board ever IMO. four others have been on my board....they are now all owners of this exact board. As for the graphics....I think they are awesome and have not heard any different from my bros I ride with. East and West riders always have different taste...lol!

The board was waiting for me when I got home Tuesday afternoon, so we loaded up and headed to the lake. In our haste we forgot the camera, so no pictures. The review of the board from my son was made as a comparison to the Ibex because that is what he rides now. According to him, the Murray was a little slower into the wake. You had to step on it a little harder to generate the speed into the wake that the Ibex has. The pop was a little more predictable, but threw you more into the flats as compared to more height with the Ibex. The landings were about the same, that being pretty hard. On the landing, he wanted to slip a little as did his friend who also rode it. The tracking without the center fin was good, but not quite up to the Ibex, which he rides with .7 fins. For some reason, he likes the way the Murray ollies. Surface tricks were really easy and smooth. Overall, he thought the board was a really good all around board as Luker stated above. My son is an intermediate rider. His friend who rode is a beginner and absolutely loved the board. The board was shipped today (Wednesday) to Jeff Newton. Enjoy. Shaun, thanks for the opportunity.

Got the board Friday took it out this weekend! The board is a great board... great pop, smooth landing, decent speed....a little too grippy for me but I was impressed with a lighter hyperlite for a change...here are a few pics Board will go out today (Mon) to Gene Weihe...

Man i have not checked the tracking tread in a while. It seems the board got slowed down. Sorry if the list was a little off, I did the best I could to get the board moving and did it with the thinking that most people would only have it for 3 days or less (which should have had it in the North during the summer months). Thanks to everyone else that has updated the list and tried to keep this thing moving. I hope everyone gets a chance to ride this thing, its amazing. I hope to get to see the board again with all the sigs at the Surf EXPO. Shaun, Will we get a chance to check out the Log book at the expo?

I can actually say that I forgot all about this, It slipped my mind till Andrew Lyskowski sent me a email on where to ship it to him at.. This is so amazing that I just cant say enough about this.. Sooooo much trust has gone into everyone to ship it to eachother.. How sweet is that... Thanks Shawn... That was a good idea..

...It can even answer phones - upon returning from a hearing, I was happy to see the board got delivered to the office and realizing I had the 08 Murray, my boss reprimanded me for not telling him sooner (riding tonight). It will get at least 6 different riders this weekend and then shipped 1st thing Monday.

Andy read the instructions Murray left with the board. It says no more then three days so everyone on the list gets to ride it. You will have it for five days before shipping it. I think it's cool your letting your friend's and boss ride the board, but there are a lot more people on the list that are going to miss out if everyone held it for five days then shipped it. It's starting to cool down up north keep this thing moving, and be considerate of others that are waiting.

Aw shucks...I can't cancel Christmas...it's a great board to take out for a session...will not get a chance to let some riders who are in the market for a new board ride it this weekend 'cause I wouldn't be able to sleep over the violin w/ teardrop accompaniment - board will ship tomorrow...better for the board to be in transit over the weekend than out with 3 boatloads of people. Let's keep this thread's intention's pure...thanks for the ride Shaun.

I'm sure Shaun would want you to ride it & enjoy it & ship it Monday , One day will not be the end of the world.... (Message edited by otown_dave on August 21, 2008)

Andy- Just skip me and send it to Jaun Narvaez cause no matter if it's sent out tomorrow or Monday I won't be around. It's not just about you keeping it an extra coupple days it's that if everyone does it the days add up. A lot of people to get to in one summer. Plus if the 3 boat loads of people would have got on here and put there name on the list then it would have worked out. Plus I imagine if you told them it was a great board they could go out and demo it.

(looking around to make sure DwightPaul doesn't see this...he must have raised his hand to volunteer to go watch the 135 list). I am already riding a new board this year but just trying to promote Shaun's board to others (no Hyperlite dealer on this Lake) and Sunday's session will likely generate some Murray board sales.

Andy, I have already received and rode the 145 I have no vested interest in seeing this board move faster down the list. I just think you should follow the instructions Murray left with the board, and not alter them to accommodate your 3 boat load of buddies. Maybe you should become a Hyperlite rep you could really do some promoting if that's your intentions.

Yes if everyone is going to accommodate all their friends when does it stop, what if someone needs 7 days or 10 days then what? If you don't have time in 3 days to ride it then just sign it and send it on. my .02

Board is shipped and should hit Juan in KC tomorrow. Everyone really liked the predictability of the board. It seemed to want to pop perfectly wake-2-wake consistently for everyone who rode it. Even the groms enjoyed riding the 140. The gentleman in the upper left picture ordered the 145 today.
