So we are sitting in the Seattle airport on our 5 and half hour layover watching the end of Apocolypto and having a turkey sandwich. Murray just landed and had to re-check bags to get into Canada. So please keep us company while we have to wait for the next flight at 5pm. Ruck is on the phone checking out pics of his new puppy at home. WE ARE BORED!

Shaun,
We'd love to have you at the NJ wakefest next year. Get in touch with Alex Kinon and make it happen! Randall and Ike killed it this year...was a grand old time!

And yes I did witness J2 and Ike play pool a few games...Ike has got a wicked break!

Movie suggestion:
"Thank you for Smoking"

Shaun,

Didnt know if you or Paul heard - but Brendan from back home - LSL (pilot) just had a really bad accident over the 4th. Broke both legs - shoulder, wrist, shattered some bones in the face, and a couple of other scraps and bruises.
I dropped my phone in the lake - and lost all my numbers so hopefully this gets to you guys.

I am on my up to the hospital to see him- Please keep him in your prayers.

also a good movie - "fightclub"

Thanks and keep up on the great riding this year!

Isnt this ironic Shaun, because we are also on our way to Kelowna. But not in the airport. We are stuck in traffic making the multi multi hour long drive from Seattle to Kelowna. Its me( Trevor), Derek Grasman, and Scotty Broome. We have been in the car for about an hour and only managed to make it about 10 miles so far. And Derek says he met your neighbor this morning at the airport, and we just ate chipotle and panda express and are about to explode!

Shaun, since you mention Radar as one of your top 5 places to ride, just curious if you get to ride it still?

Trevor, I hate to tell you, but you are in for the worst car ride of your life! The traffic heading north at this time of day can take you two hours to go about 40miles.

Good luck up north to everyone, I'm heading east to Lake Roosevelt to swelter in the triple digit temps!

Trevor: Can't wait to get my hands on a new Marius. What sets it apart from the 2007 model?

Lamos and Shaun: Have a good flight. See you guys in Portland.

Randy: Not making the driver up north? Is Alex going to be at Round Butte for the Northwest Riders Clinic the end of this month.

Hey Shaun hope you start one of these for Wakestock in Toronto as im a big fan, but for some reason last year i completely missed your pass, i was try to hit on the redbull girls. So i think that sort of gets me off the hook. Anyways hope to see you riding here at the other side of Canada. Jason

In the lobby at the hotel and using their computer now. we don't start riding until 1:30 today, so we have some time to kill.
Rich, I will be in texas next weekend for a family reunion, the wife's side.
Robyn, haven't seen alpha dog but kerri did and she said it wasn't too good.
Rental car blew a fuse this morning. we couldn't get the windows to go down, found the fuse and then ryan realized the alternator wasn't spinning from the belt every so often. going back to the rental place to exchange.
got one of the first runs of my new board the other day. holy guacamole is it light?!!!
that wasn't a question, but a statement.
new boots have the option to be stiff or softer in the flex. just have to wait and see.

I only read the top few posts and stopped at a mentioning of the standerd (sorry bros, but I'm on my way for some fresh egg rolls so my time is limited). My copy just arrived this morning and it was a blast to flip through. it was even better than the first...so obviously these guys are all about pushing for something better.

But I think the most relevant bit is the fact that shaun was the was the subject of the second issue's "profile" column. I just want to say that I thorougly enjoyed reading it and the pictures were a blast and gave a nice peek into the past (both shaun's and wakeboarding's). I remember seeing some of that stuff on TV, so to get a different angle of the action and a memory or two behind it is very cool. A few of those pictures are nice and you can feel the emotion, and if you have a memory associated with it...well, it resonates in your soul. (is that too emotional? WHATEVER!)

Direct addresses are strange to me, but nice work on your profile, shaun. Seeing and reading about history like that is always a treat, and is most definitely treasured.

Anyway, heck yes, good luck to everyone in kelowna.

the standerd quarterly does rock! I got a complimentary copy from sidewayz when I ordered a bunch of vids for the shop. I have flipped through this publication over and over and everytime find something new. I will def. be a longtime subscriber. it really portrays the sport in a way that I like to see it.

Hahn, I didn't gamble in the casino, but did on the water. I took a bummer of a fall yesterday. For those of you who don't know, Kelowna has the craziest conditions. The contest is on a huge lake with rollers that make it hard to just stand behind the boat. Add in some strong wind and it's go time. The starting dock is at the beginning of the course, so the boat gets going straight and as soon as it is up to speed, you start. First trick is somewhat decent, land and go into the flat bar, then then funbox, then it's a gamble if you hit the wake when a roller stacks on top of it to give you the double up, rather than the double down. Boat turns around while you do your best just to hang on right behind the boat. Two wake tricks, most likely stock and then the funbox, flat bar, and then I had time to get two tricks in at the end, which were the important ones because of the only good water at the end. The boat shuts down as it gets super close to the dock, you need to keep things going to get two tricks in at the finish. So I came off the flatbar and cut in to do a raley backside 180(raley to blind) from 5 feet out cause i wanted to get a crow 5 in before the boat shut down. Bad move. Should have taken the time to cut out and risk getting one trick. fell...woops.
No worries. heading back home late tonight on the red eye, shooting tues and wed to get some final shots for Detention The DoOver. shameless plug, but thought you might want to know.
Will be in Texas on Granbury next weekend and Portland is the next stop.
P.S.
did I mention the event is completely sold out at 35$ a pop. crazy amounts of people here. thousands.
