got some stereo pics and i have a question for everyone should i smooth out the tower and leave it raw or repowder coat it black?(there was an incident and it needed to be stripped and welded)
re powdercoat it to match the boat color. That looks cool and is rare. 99% of illusions are black so a color matched one is original and the ones I've seen look really cool.
Looks like you also added some extra support tubes to the tower? Cast aluminum? If so why not polish it and paint the center rib section black to match the bases.
Very nice setup, like the amp rack. I would also re powdercoat it to match the tower, but it would look good either way. I really like the mirror placement. Pretty Sick!

I had to put some brace's in because i broke the rear bar into 2 pieces i wanted the piece of mind so i added them and yes its the tower is cast it's 8 separate pieces welded together. polishing it would be cool but there are a lot of pits from the casting process that would take considerable time to fill for a clean look
Do you have any pictures of the mirror folded up? Do you like the mirror? Is it stable? Can you see out to sides with it? Sorry for all of the questions, but I am considering making one if I can't find one better than the factory one I have.
I'd like to see some more pictures of the tower from the sides if that's alright as well. We have some sick wakeboard stereos where I boat, but I gotta admit I've not seen on that looks like that. usually just cans, or perhaps the deal with the two speakers and a horn.. (Although there is one guy with 4 "midrange" 10's on the tower)
Where's that amp rack located? In the back or behind the observer seat? Are you running any kind of cooling fans?
What's the battery setup looking like as well? On board generator? Or are you just running a bank of batteries?
