alpine head unit

does anyone know if it is possible to hook an Alpine
head unit display up to a seperate lcd screen
or any head unit for that matter

it would be cool....since Malibu head units are under the armrest...you can't really see the display

thinkin about putting on of these in the new beast

That I pod only H.U is cool. Not sure if the I pod only H.U has the feature wher you can run a remote LCD display. I know some high end Alpine head units have the ability to run a seprate remote touch screen display.

Im looking into exactley what your talking about.
I want a Alpine DVD Nav Ipod unit that lets me mount a Heads up style Nav sceeen that could mount in the dash and work as TV. Back up cammera,Nav LCD screen. The Larger control unit would mount in the Glove Box or side dash

Hey Guys,

It is pretty easy to do. If your unit has a removable face plate, then you can solder some wires onto the contacts on both the unit and face plate and mount it anywhere you want.

I have seen this done on many ricers, they put it on the sun visor.

I am trying to modify the VPod that I bought from Bryan at wakevideos
I am looking for a replacement tft lcd monitor that allows for at least 2 video inputs

hopefull, I can connect a video ipod to it and either use the trakker cam or playt videos from the ipod....while the music plays through the Alpine....
think it'll work?
do you have a monitor suggestion...that will fit
