Looking at new MB's and the new TOMCAT has entered into the picture, so wondering how many there are on the water? The B52 V23 is next choice.

My son just rode behind one at a contest last weekend, said it has a transition like a X-Star with a kick at the peak. He liked it.

My new Tom got to me last month. Had it out on the first nice day here in Oregon. It is one nice boat. I will try and get picture up.

Hammer said it. Like the boat's looks, but the tower has to got to go. Saw 2 of them on Donner lake last year for their photo shoot (around the 4th of july)and again at the boat show. Hopefully they will sell a lot of them.

Shane, are you sure? Have you seen some of the Gekkos?

thanks for reminding, I forgot the Gekko, I am not sure it qualifies as a wakeboard boat though

For what those things cost you better like it. You must deal with Shadrack huh? That is what they are dealing since they lost the malibu line.

I claim no knowledge whatsoever about MB boats. However, from all the pictures I've seen, the pickle-fork front end on the Tomcat looks like it was retrofitted rather than an integral design. While the X-Star was the first, the only other pickle-fork that looks good is the new Tige. Just my opinion and it is purely on the looks of it.

nothing about the tomcat hull is a retro fit, the hull is entirely new and looks nothing like any of the other MB hulls

looks aside, hard to beat the build quality

Actually, the Tomcat is literally the B52 V Sportdeck hull. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I hear it throws a nice wake but I know that its the same, do some research.

Let me clarify - I said it "looks" like it was retrofitted. A perfect analogy is the difference between a DC-10 rear engine mount and an L-1011 (if you remember them). The rear engine mount on the DC-10 looks like it was an afterthought. Looking at the Tomcat, the pickle-fork looks like it is purely an extension (an extension that needs to be chopped off), serving no purpose other than to try to compete with the X-Star. Tige's on the other hand looks much more integral to the boat.

Sheezzuusss...What does any of that have to do with his question?
Mike, I've only seen one on the water and was impressed. Mikacich (sp?) had it at Folsom last summer. Good luck!
