Looking for advice on these two boats. Both are new, the 06 is a leftover. Both have colors and options that work for me. I like the fit/finish of the Malibu, but like the 450HP engine in the Supra. Both are relatively close in price.

Lemme know what you think. Thanks

Both really good boats. That 8.1 sounds nice but is it necessary? You can never have to much power I guess. I really don't like the seating in the Supra, but other than that it's a good looking boat. The fit and finish in the LSV is a little better than the Supra in my opinion. You really couldn't go wrong with either boat. I would have to say that you are either getting a really good deal on the LSV or the Supra is a little high. I guess that engine upgrade might be the difference, but if the LSV is loaded out it should be around 60-65K. You should be able to do a little better than than on an 06 leftover boat.

I would think the Malibu would hold it's resale better if all things are equal.

Thanks folks. Good news/bad news. My friend/dealer brought another LSV over tonight and it would not fit 'under' my 7' garage door. We are going to try another trailer - wish me luck. Hmmm always a girth issue.

By the way… if your dealer doesn't bring boats to your house for a test fit… call Ben and Eric at www.midwayboats.com (free plug for the guys)

You need the lowrider option from extreme trailers to fit it in a 7' garage door. Assuming you have an illusion tower it's 7'6" high with the tower down on a stock extreme trailer.

05MOB I have an 06 vlx with the same prob.. Is the lowrider option something I can convert to or is it a whole new trailer? How much lower does it pput the boat? Do you sacrifice ride with this option? Thanks for any advice.

Johnny,

I've taken my wheels off my extreme trailer and it looks like you can adjust the ride height. I haven't tried it but it should work. I'm not sure if you'd get 6" doing this but it might be worth a shot. Just make sure you mark the hub spline before you adjust it. Another thing you can do to gain about 3-4" is taking your tow ball off the top of your tower before taking it into the garage. You have to pry the cap off the top of the ball and can loosen it that way.

The lowrider option is an option you can get from the factory at extreme.
