I wanted to share with you all what I thought was a cool experience today; Went to the Ski Ranch(I'm really lucky, moved down to New Braunfels in July and I'm only 10 minutes from TSR)today and screwed around on the roam for a couple hours.

Water temp was mid 60's, air temp was lower 50's. Winds were 5 or less=pretty much butter considering I was there with only two other guys.

Oh yeah, those two guys were Tom Fooshee and Gabe Lucas. Basically, WOW. I only got a couple sets in and then pretty much sat there in awe for the next 45 minutes, freezing my toes off and watching these two go round and round. Very cool to watch dedicated riders, both of whom were very chill and down to earth. I managed to pick Tom's brain about edging, line loading and popping, and he seemed more than willing to help me out. Cool guys. The cable operator, TJ, was really helpful too. I managed to snag my first boardslide with his help(prior I was just 50/50 onto it and hopping off at the first kink). Anyways, not really any point to this. I'm just stoked to have been there for that- I progressed with help from cool people and wanted to share with you guys.

Ya Tom Fooshee and Gabe Lucas are both really cool guys and yes they rip on the cable and behind the boat. TSR is a great place to go and everyone out there will go out of there way to make your visit a pleasant one for sure!

Gabe who?? Just kidding, look for Gabe in the March issue of WBM. I invited Tom to come out for our photoshoot but he couldn't make it. Look for another 8 page feature story on Gabe and his pals shredding the frigid waters of Spring Lake Michigan. Due out Feb 15th.

Clint, hit me up if you ever want to go ride. I'm currently boatless so I've been going to TSR more lately. I'm about 15 minutes away. Have you been to Lake Dunlap? That's where we usually go with the boat.

I've seen Tom & Gabe ride out there too & they definitely RIP!

Adam, thanks for the offer! That would be cool. I fly over Dunlap all the time, but I haven't met anyone with a boat. I keep mine up in Dallas but I would bring it down if I had a place to keep it besides my driveway. Anyways, drop me a line when you're heading up to TSR. I won't be able to make it up there til next Sunday.
