Ok, so I've been riding the 05 roam 144 A LOT cause it is so fun and I LOVE it, but with the new boat and all I'm ready to start learning how to go wake to wake, is the roam a bad board to learn on? I know because of the flex it should be more difficult but what I'm wondering is will it teach me bad form? I also have an 03 obrian vision 142 (which is what I usually ride if I ever am not riding the roam) an 03 belmont 136 and an 01 hype fluid 137, which of the 4 should I be learning on, would it be bad to learn on the roam (cause I REALLY love it!)? thanx for all your help guys!

You could learn on the Roam, but you're probably making it a little harder on yourself.

the flex and.. you know.. the part where it's not really a wakeboard at all..

Vision is a great board, ride it.

I would think about riding that vision.

Any board with fins should help you be more consitant with your landings too...

On the contrary... If you learn to go W2W on the Roam your form will be perfect. It'll teach you to use your edging to develop speed instead of using fins. It'll definitely be more difficult for you though.

Personally I'd get on that Belmont to learn W2W, but if you are enjoying the Roam, then give it a go. Learn one wake jumps first (inside to outside) getting as much speed and distance as you can, then go for the W2W.

Agreed, Evan.

It's like when you try wakejumping on a wakeskate.

You may think you are an awesome wakeboarder, but you never know how much you rely on your edge until you try it on a wakeskate. (Or a roam, for this matter)
