I need an opinion or 6...

I am trying to decide between the 06 sphynx limited or the 06 transit...I ride the 05 alpha now and I am a intermediate level rider...will the sphynx be too soft or the transit too stiff? what will i sacrifice with each?

The transit is not that much stiffer. The big diffrence that I have noticed is it comes up higher on the leg to give more suport, and it has the lycra tounge wich is nicer.

Well this should be easy! My new 06 settup i got was the substance and the spyhnx (to start out). I was coming off of the transits from 05. I really enjoyed the transits but i figured id give it a change and try out the spyhnx. After a few rides, the sphynx were just to loose for me. There a lot more low cut, which is nice for some.. aka: hard tweaks, etc. But My personall preference did not like them. They were very comfy.. that was not an option. Since i really couldnt get the feel for them after a couple weeks of riding, i exchanged them and got the transits. I really enjoy them. They give alot of ankle support, where i felt the sphynx wernt as sturdy. (personal preference). I mean both are extreamly comfy and you can tweak hard with both. Just for me i like more support when im riding. Sphynx materials are a little thinner, but still comfy. Just loose feel adn not as supportive.

Yeah it really depends on your preference, Mike. Personally, I like how soft the Sphynx are, don't like the stiffer feel at all. So the answer you're looking for is within you! Try both, if you can.. :-)

I prefer the transits, but I won't knock either boot.
