What does everyone think about the '05 LF ultra's. How do they ride? I want new bindbings because my parks are old and a busted.

I've ridden' '02's, 03's, and now been riding the '04's for about a year now I think. Love 'em. I'm gonna get the '05's.

andrew the 05 ultras are pretty good, easy entry lycra on both sides, very comfy and great hold, a must for $220

make sure you wear them before you buy. i'm convinced that if your in the upper part of the size range that they never 'break-in'

Can anyone compare the support of ultra vs alpha vs transit. my current bindings are super supportive but take forever to lace up and was looking for something that you can get in and out of quickly. It doesn't look like the alphas are that supportive.

I wear an XL size binding. I also like the Sphynx's so its between them and the Ultra's

I mean it doesn't look like the ultras are that supportive

I would say the ultras are the most supportive of the 3

Do the ultras release on hard falls? Because i know for a fact that the Sphynx's do.

Ultras have lower support. never ridden the alphas or transit. i've got sphynx - plenty of support. I think the transits might have more support above your ankle. the ultras aren't that supportive up there. Ron, you should consider sphynx too.

yea they release. if you come out of the ultras you know it was a hard fall. all of them are designed to let go of your foot at some point

I think that the Ultra's seem really good for the price, but i think im gonna spring the extra mile to either get the Sphynx's or the Limited Transits.(those are sick)

I get everything cheaper from boardstop.com, because they have a coupon called : forumuser. If you type that in you get 10% off your complete order.

I'll sell you these for $100.00

04 Ultras with 04 Parks overlays. They feel exactly like Ultras, but easier to get in and out of. Quality craftsmanship by myself.

Change what to?

andrew.
ultra & alphas are supportive & easy to take off
team & transit will be the most supportive from the LF lineup, make sure you demo them before buying....got two pairs in large narrow and they were not the same size,
between ultra and alpha, would definetely take the ultra's

I'm going to demo the Ultra's and the Sphynx's

I really like the Ultra's. No hasstle, easy to get in and out (for me, if you know the right twitch). Only 1 disadvantage for me, I cannot get in the bindings without lube, so when taking a hard fall and got out of the binding I need to get in board and lube the binding.

I'm riding ultras since 2000... I loved my old orange ultras and then I bought last years... I tried the alphas, transit and ultras... the alphas were super easy to get into but I felt I wasnt getting the support I wanted around the lower ankle like my old ultras... I felt it would be better with 2 laces, one over the foot and one for the heel... or just adding the little underlay the ultras have around the ankle would have help, but it would have reduced the easy entry feel... still would have been easier than ultras though... when I put my feet into the transit, I felt it was too wide for my feet... the guy at the shop told me it was the same for the sphynx... I have narrow feet so it might be better for someone with wide feet... or maybe you just get used to it... I finally bought 04 ultras but I didn't liked the lycra layer at all, I felt it was harder to put on... I used to get into my old ultra without any lube and with those, I always had to use some... they took a while to break in... and I unstiched and peel of the lycra liner from inside the binding, that way I can still get into them without lube and the comfort is still awesome... if I had to do it again, I would buy the alphas and find a way to get more support around the heels or get some sphynx...

Ultras, just like San Dimas High School football......RULE!

I've sworn by my Ultra's for the last 3 years, but now I'm really trying to progress instead of being a "rec" rider, which equals more falls where I'm coming out of the bindings. So, like Tommy 3 posts above, I have to get back on the boat to get back on the board. I was getting tired of that last season, so I'll be looking at demoing some bindings this year to see what else is out there.

Not that I want to. I looooove my Ultras. Putting them on for the first time of every season is an orgasmic experience for me. No crap to mess with, cinch or tighten, it will be hard to move away from them.
