Picked up some cheap faria guages off ebay for my boat. But as with any cheap deals there is a lack of documents with them. Anyhow i can sort the tachometer and fuel/oil/temp/volts easy enough but the speedo is the electronic type not the usual pitot type. The speedo I have isn't listed on the faria webite but on its rear it only has Batt, ground and signal connections so thats easy enough. The speed transducer that came with it is an airmar ST650 which has both speed and temp sensors. Again I can't find reference for this on the airmar website but it has two wired plugs. One with two wires (I guess they are the temp sensor) and one with 3 wires (red, green and a bare/shield). Now I assume the on the sensor the red is wired to ignition fed live (+12V) the bare is a ground/shield wire and the green is the sensor which goes to the guage. Sound right? Seems good to be but wanted to check. Also I have a combined digital speed, depth and temp guage already fitted in the boat but only wired for depth. I intend to wire the new airmar sensor to the temp terminals on this. Can't see any issues here as I guess its just a thermistor. I aslo wanted to know if I can then run an extra leed off the speed sensor to go on my speed/temp/depth guage. I would then have 2 guages working off the one sensor. Is this going to cause any issues? I won't be getting the boat near the water for at least a month as its frickin freezing here in the UK but I will be starting some work on it soon enough. Thanks JC
