I have a closed bow. The back of the seat opens up to gain access into the bow. There are two hinges screwed into the fiberglass of the boat hold the seat on. All the screw holes have worn or are cracked from lifting the seat too high. As a result, the seat back is falling off.

I was wondering if I should epoxy the holes and rescrew the seat back. If not, what other suggestions might you have? (I'm sorry I don't have a pic at this time but I can get one)

drill them all the way thru, and use bolts with locknuts & washers on the back side.

Are the hinges falling off the seat or off the boat?
