Need some input...
I'm about to buy my first drysuit.
Which is better, neoprene or nylon?
Will one last any longer or be more durable?
Any experience with the cheap Gladiator brand suits? (I found them at http://www.overtons.com)

Spend the few extra $s and get the O'neill Boost. Works really well, can wear just about anything underneath it.

For a few dollars more than that Galiator suit, I'd get one from Adrenaline. 3 year warranty vs. 1 year,

something to consider is a the price to have the seals redone. this will be needed every 2-3 years depending on the care of the suit.

oneill is local socal for me (40 minutes away) and charges $50 -$75 for new seals(so i have been told by reliable sources).

a couple of fine points- the boost has neophrene neck and internal suspenders... it is a really super comfortable suit (the suit doesnt hang or bag and the neoprene neck is ultra comfy and easy to get in/out of.

though i havent tried one. i have read alot of good things about bare drysuits. i think you can get that delivered to you for $250 by grizzly.

Mike, I'm not familiar with "grizzly".
Do they have a website? (I couldn't find it.)
thanks.

Thomas, here's Grizzly's site http://www.grizzly-sports.com/. Call them up and ask for RV and he'll hook you up with a nice Bare Ultra drysuit for $250 shipped. If you buy multiple drysuits, he can get you a better deal. I got 2 Bare drysuits for $240 each shipped to my door. Here's the # too, 1-866-444-BEAR.

Hmm, I am not that impressed with the Boost. A handfull of guys I ride with wear the Boost and always seem to get soaked or just a wet around the neck. I love Oneill products but had to back out on this purchase just because of what I have seen and read.

I have a Bare Ulra Dry and have not leaked yet ( knock on wood) even on hard double up falls or whenever I catch an edge.

If you roll the neck in at the top about an half inch the boost will keep you dry, I have not got wet around the neck since I do this.

i do take in a tiny ( and i do mean tiny ) bit of water at the neck after some serious faceplants. but i dont roll my neck as charles suggested (will try- thanks for the tip).

havent tried the bare, but do own the usia(similar design all latex seals).

i think the big difference one will see is in comfort/construction of the neck seal and the suspenders (these are the major differences in the suits)

the bare has a latex neck seal and the boost has a neoprene neck seal and the suspenders. the latex neck is very binding and tight( i have a 16" neck) and very hard to get in and out. the neoprene is more comfortable and easier to get in/out of (my opinion) and the suspenders are really comfortable and keep the of the suit from bagging.

though the bare may keep you a tiny bit dryer around the neck-the boost is more comfortable and easier to get into (as with life there is a tradeoff with everything)

dont think you can go wrong with either. both are very high quality and will make wakeboarding during the winter enjoyable.
