I have red some of the other problems people are having on there backroll and it sounds familiar. I just keep landing sideways and then i try to muscle out the landing but fall back. Please tell me somthing i can do to get my board in the right position to land straight. I dont have a video but i wish i did.

i agree let go with your back hand, and also make sure the handle is in at your hip when you initiate or else you will have to much line tension

I went out again today and almost landed a couple. It's only the third time out that i have tried them so i didnt expect to land one. It sucks though cause i get so close, like twice i landed and kind of slide on the side before getting pulled over frontward. It's like the board is to horizontal when i come down.

Thanks for the advice kevin and mike but is there anything alse i could do. WHen should i take my off hand off hte handle?

Thanks for the help

make sure you look over your lead shoulder. spot your landing at the last sec.

stephen,

on a back roll, you land like you take off from the wake. if you are falling back, that means you are leaning back too much at the wake. stand up more as you go up the wake.
