Hi all, anyone wakeboarding behind a response? I have a friend who is looking at buying one for Slalom and footing. He is gonna get the wedge and a tower, I was quite interested what the wake will be like with wedge down and/or some fat sacs in there as well. Also what line length you are using when wakeboarding, (want to get further back for serious air) Cheers! }
Here's one from a '99 Response LX. Wedge down, 2 Fat Boys (500lbs. ea, 1 on each side of the motor box), 200 lbs. of sand in the trunk, and 150lbs. of sand up under the dash/deck. The rider is at 75'. Sorry about it only showing one side, the pictures were taken for the rider.
Most DD Malibus are excellent dual purpose boats. The wake disappears with the wedge up and no weight and you can kick up a big rampy wake with the wedge and some sacks. Nice sentence eh?
If I wanted to do both, Malibu a Malibu DD would be one of my first choices.
