Currently use Hyperlite spins, but am looking for step up, it seems to me that the main choice is between hyperlite and liguid force, so which ones are best.

they both make really good bindings. If you got a board shop near you, go in and try some on. How much do you want to spend. I know equipment is expensive in england. But there is no better or worse company, just personal preference.

i love my hyperlite belmonts. had some problems with last years 3060s and on of the overlays but the rep solved that by sending me 03 overlays. i tryed on the liquid force binding and they didn't feel near as comfortable

I've tried every high-end '03 Hyperlite Binding (parks, belmonts, byerlys, high backs) and I've tried the Liquid Force Ultras, and the Exo's. I feel much more secure in the LF bindings. More lockdown. Suction.....that's exactly what it feels like. The foot pad feels much more grippy in the LF bindings too. How much you want to spend is also another big factor. EXO's - $299 Parks - $429

What happens when the lf break?

Lets not turn this into a hl/lf battle. I've seen just as many hyperlite bindings rip as I have liquid force, and they're usually pretty good at replacing them.
Personally I think the LF ultras give the best bang for the buck.
