Hi All,
I am jumping back into wakeboarding after a couple of year off and was looking to update my board (currently own a 1996 waketech Flight 69, 133). I'm 5'6 160 and would consider myself and intermediate rider. I noticed some great prices on evo on byerly boards but not sure which one to go with. Here are the options:
1. 2011 Blunt 53"
2. 2011 Monarch 53"
3. 2011 Assault
I have watched all videos on these and was curious which one people would choose. Also, any thoughts on 2011 Byerly Pro bindings would be appreciate.
Thanks

I have a 2010 assault I could sell it tracks great and is perfect for an intermediate rider they haven't changed the shape so it will be the same as a 2011 it's in great shape never been on a rail only behind boat only little scratches were the binding was and bindings will cover it up its a 135 so 2 cm bigger than your old wake tech pm me if you're interested

I love the Monarch - has molded in fins if you like no fins go with the blunt because you can remove them.

What 69 do you have?? I have a one of a kind Monarch 53" PVC core I might be willing to trade. It is freaky light, way lighter than even the production PVC boards.

Thanks everyone, so it seems as though they would all be pretty good choices and at the price I'm not sure how I could go wrong. I have the 1996 wake tech flight 133 that is shown on the "gear" page of this site, with original bindings.

Go with the Blunt. I like it over the Assault. More flex, looser, releases off the wake quicker, more pop, and tracks faster. However, I have not ridden a Monarch before.

Ive Been through the entire Byrley line up, with the exception of the new AR1, Go with either the Monarch or the Blunt, both are super fun I feel the monarch has a bit more explosiveness, but the Blunt is a lil more playful if that makes any sense. If your going to ride cable or any sliders at all, go with the blunt.....

Oh and not a big Fan of the Byrley Pro boots, I know they changed them up this past year but the 2011's are garbage in my opinion.....

Thanks for all the info. Just to make things complicated I have added the Liquid Force PS3 Grind and the CWB Kink to the list, both 2011. I am trying to stay within a certain price range and these fit in as well. So...any thoughts on these boards compared to the others?

I ride a 2011 Byerly Conspiracy and I love it. I'd have to agree with astroman about the boots. They tighten up well but the edges of my feet start hurting after a few minutes. If it wasn't for the boots then I would be able to ride longer. Thankfully you can change them out but unfortunately not cheap.
