Gator CT's or CWB Factions?

Well I have a dilemma. I just found a package deal on a Gator Board Gator 144 packaged with the Gator CT closed toe bindings(size 12-13) for a pretty good deal (also comes with a bag). I also found the same board but no bindings but i can get the CWB Factions XXL(13-15) for about $15 more for the board and bindings.
My dilemma is I want what ever bindings are the easiest to get in and especially out of. I tried some Parks bindings the other day and thought I was going to drown getting them off. Comfort on the board is important, but since I am just starting out ease of entry in and out of the binding is also important. I am 6'5" 230" and have a size 12 foot which is a little wide in the toe area. Any help or opinions is definately appreciated.

what gator CT? and what year are the factions you found?

Pretty easy to get in and out of the Factions with the hinge, are they 09 Factions?

as far as getting in n out of with ease, the factions are the easier ones of the 2, the hinge gives them better heel hold then the gator close toe's ive tried on both, and preffered the support of the factions, considering they are 09

And I am not sure what year or model the CT's are but here is a pic of them.

Both look great, but i am thinking the Gator package deal is better since you get the board bag. They also have a deal with the Gator Team bindings.

I would say the factions youll get great support and super easy in n out! not to mention c-dubs warranty is legit! but ya cant beat a free board bag i suppose.

A buddy of mine had those gator boots and hated them. The liner came out a couple times per set and the one of the laces ripped. I've heard nothing but good about the factions. Hope that helps.

Get the factions. You can get the 09 Factions for about $10 more than the 08 Factions right now. I know cuz I just bought a pair. PM me if you need help finding them online

I thought the gators were really comfortable and supportive.

I'm riding the 08 factions, and like them alot, even better than my 08 LF CT Watsons...

only problem I'm having with them is the black leather like stuff (vinyl???) covering is peeling off, but so far does not look like it affects it structurally...

Well I ended up finding a pair of 07 factions in white for $90. I needed them tomorrow so I figured what could I lose. Sooooooo easy to get in and really comfortable. I bought the xxl because the xl were a little tight in the heel. I put em on my buddies 143 hl Trip so we will see how it goes.

Well I got up second try today and LOVED the bindings and board. Definately gonna be looking for a Trip, but probably longer than a 143. I'm hooked now!! Thanks for all the help!!

Sure that was a HL Trip and not a Liquid Force Trip? Also, I have a size 12 foot and wear the 07 XL Factions. They fit great. The XXL's were too big and loose. My father in law who wears a size 14 shoe wears the XXL factions. They will stretch out over time too, sure you don't need the XL's?

Yes it was a LF Trip. My bad. The XL's squeezed my heel too much and I have kind of a wide foot. No issues at all with the XXL. I figured for the price, they will get me by until I can get the 09's.
